In our ongoing project, another 4 children of the Lions and Rotary houses at the SOS Children Village celebrated their birthdays and received birthday cakes and snack hampers.

We welcomed Lion members from our twinning club LC Stormarn, Hamburg/Germany who toured Namibia with their partners & friends, at which occasion they also visited a few projects, which they had previously supported with funds.

In line with LCI’s Centennial Challenge “Relieving the Hunger” we donated 100 “Easy Meals” packets, a dehydrated nutritious meal of 12 servings per packet, to the “Wake-Up! Early Education Center” and “Bright Star Kindergarten”, who, respectively feed 80 and 40 children daily.

We donated a concrete mixer to the “Dagbreek School for mentally impaired children” which will be used for a brick making project at the school’s Aftercare Centre, where, under supervision, school leavers between the ages of 19-21 can engage in creative activities and learn practical skills to prepare them for future employment. The casting moulds were donated by the Windhoek Lions Club.
