About us

Our club was chartered in August 1970 and ever since, stands solid and steadfast like the old fortress "Alte Feste", one of Windhoek's prominent landmarks.

Lions Club Windhoek Alte Feste has a proud history of accomplishments in meeting community needs far beyond Windhoek's borders. Our engagements are manifold and our service activities comprise a broad spectrum of projects, such as in education and health care, diabetes awareness, support in blindness prevention and sight conservation, aid to senior citizens and persons with disablements, to children with language, sight, speech and hearing impairments, assistance to day care centres/kindergardens, farm schools & hostels and many more.

Windhoek " Alte Feste" Lions strive to make a difference in our communities and our society as a whole, by living up to the Lions motto We serve.
